Pam Dunsford believes unwooded Chardonnay is ideally suited to "the very popular, light, fresher cuisine styles" and she has a point here.

Barrel-fermented and mature wines are more complex and more expensive and they deserve food of that character. Chapel Hill's Unwooded Chardonnay is crafted to suit the modern Australian lifestyle and food preferences

This month we celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of the opening of Treasury Restaurant and The Sebel Melbourne as well as the beginning of the Football season!

Since our opening, Treasury has grown and developed into a fantastic dining venue for entertaining and relaxation and there are even bigger and better reasons to come in and visit us this Autumn & Winter.

We are pleased to release our new Winter Warmer Conference package this month and look forward to releasing a new menu in May. Its just a great reason to come in and entertain clients or have the next work function or conference at The Sebel Melbourne. Friday Night is every night at Treasury. Happy hour has extended (beginning April 12th 2004) from Mondays to Thursdays from 5.30pm – 8.30pm and Fridays from 5.30pm – 9.30pm (applies to local tap beer, house wine and soft drinks). Tuille Mix

Ingredients

120g unsalted butter

200g icing sugar

8 egg whites

240g plain flour

 

Preheat oven to 150º c. Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl and then mix in the egg whites, then fold in the plain flour (sifted). Once the mixture is smooth, spread thin strips evenly on a tray of baking paper. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes until golden.

Remove the tray from the oven and mould the strips while still warm into the desired shape. Allow to cool and use for any dessert as a unique garnish.

As seen above, we have moulded it in a spiral shape and placed around our white chocolate parfait.
